Hi, I’m N’keya,
Hopes’ Daughter
The death of a loved one can feel like an isolating experience. Somehow the world continues while it feels like your world has ended. Anyone who has experienced mature grief knows that your world eventually does continue but it’s an entirely different world as you learn to navigate and live with loss. This was my experience after I sat with my beloved mom, Hope, as she took her last breath and after I experienced a miscarriage a mere one year later. We all will experience grief in our life but so few of us talk about it. I’m here to help change that by providing grief support through a variety of healing methods including 1:1 consultation sessions, grief groups, and grief yoga ®. Working with me allows you to choose one or several of these methods to process your grief. As a clinical social worker with 10 years of experience in community mental health with children, families, and adults, I’ve learned that individuals cope with grief in many unique ways. In addition to providing virtual grief support through consultation, groups, and yoga, I’ve also published a grief one-line-a-day journal titled “Hope: Grief 365” to support those who prefer to explore their grief through writing. As a bereaved mother and daughter, Hopes’ daughter, I’ve learned that exploring grief with a trusted guide makes it feel less isolating and this connection can help build hope in grief. Let’s connect.
